About me
Wendy Thienes is the Age-Friendly Saskatchewan Coordinator with the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism (SSM). As a caregiver for aging parents, Wendy began to realize the importance of aging in place. Her involvement in the initial stages of the development of Age-Friendly Shaunavon led to her work with SSM. She is also currently a member of a local municipal steering committee which is implementing Social Prescribing in Shaunavon. She believes that Saskatchewan communities of all sizes have SO much to offer citizens of all ages. She is excited to share with communities how bringing all of the concepts and domains of the Age-Friendly model together can further build places that people are proud to call home, through all stages of life.
