About me
As a member of Cowessess First Nation, Samara Jackson has always felt a need to share her knowledge and experience with people around her. As a teacher at Regina Public Schools for seven years, with a focus on art and music. Samara would spend her time bringing Indigenous art and music to the classrooms that she was part of, be they her own or as a guest teacher. As the Indigenous Library Services Coordinator, Samara works with the Saskatchewan public library systems to bring awareness and services to the Indigenous people in Saskatchewan. She continues to focus on the principles of reconciliation from the Truth and Reconciliation's Calls to Action.
