About me
Robin Canham holds a Bachelor of Arts (English) from the University of Regina and went on to complete a Master of Information Studies, specializing in Library Studies, from the University of Toronto. She worked as an Academic Librarian for several years, before returning to post-secondary studies at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where she completed a Master of Art Conservation, specializing in paper, photographs, and new media. During this time, she was awarded a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Canadian Graduate Scholarship for her research on the use of nanocellulose in paper conservation.
Robin has previously worked in the conservation labs at the Queen’s University Archives, the Provincial Archives of Alberta, and was the Kress Conservation Fellow at Queen’s University Library, W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections, where she focused in book conservation. Most recently, Robin was awarded the 2023 Emerging Conservator of the Year Award by the Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property (CAC) and now works as the Conservator at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.
